EHI Salon: Transforming the Ordinary to the Remarkable

EHI is excited to be continuing our new series of experiential salons. The intention for these salons is to honor EHI’s commitment to experiential learning as well as the time-honored group process of discussion and integration.

On April 15th, EHI is hosting a two-hour virtual community space for Transforming the ordinary to the remarkable. Personal, relational, and cosmological aspects are considered in group discussion, practical demonstration, dyad engagement, and will be flexible to follow emergent wishes from the group.

General Outline (2 hours): 

● Welcome to 4th Salon: Transforming the ordinary to the remarkable (15 minutes)

● Conceptual frames for Transforming the ordinary to the remarkable (20 minutes): Alertness to everyday experience creates the background for creating the aliveness necessary to appreciate aspects of life often minimized and ignored. Skipped over experiences can be valuable treasures for gaining self-knowledge. Simple events like a daily routine can escape notice, events that give context and continuity to life. Understanding and highlighting breathes meaning into ordinary experiences.

● Experiential Demo/Exercise: “Exploring the ordinary to the remarkable” (35 min) 

● Dyads (30 min)

● Final Large Group Process: (15 min)

 As we acknowledge that the word “salon” implies a more free flowing structure this is a flexible outline that will be modified by Sonja and Josh to work with what is happening in the moment.
