EHI offers courses on the principles of existential-humanistic practice, case seminars in existential-humanistic (E-H) theory and practice, E-H consultation groups and E-H workshops from leading practitioners and theorists. Most of EHI’s program instructors have trained extensively with such masters as James Bugental, Irvin Yalom and Rollo May, and are among the most highly trained existential-humanistic practitioners in the country.

EHI is a professional enrichment and advocacy organization. EHI cannot provide a person with credentials to practice therapy nor do we offer university or college degrees. Anyone interested in practicing therapy will still need to gain the relevant degree from an accredited university or college, based on their country’s licensing or credentialing regulations.

Each year we host online workshops with presenters who are leading E-H therapists, authors, and teachers. Once scheduled these are listed on our Upcoming Events page and we email announcements to our mailing list.

EHI’s instructors also host a 3-day training workshop once a year titled Core Skills in Existential-Humanistic Psychotherapy. This 16-hour online training is facilitated by leading instructors in the Existential-Humanistic field. The instructors provide theoretical explanation and experiential opportunities for the development and/or strengthening of skills and capacities that are not only core to the E-H approach but can also support therapists of many other modalities cultivate a foundation for optimizing their technical skills.

Programs such as social work, therapy, counseling, music & art therapy, psychology, psychiatry, nursing, and human services. Those students who are involved in a clinical practicum or internship would benefit from the training.

Every country’s regulations governing the practice of therapy is different but almost all countries require therapists to have attended a post-graduate or graduate program through a college or university and undergo differing licensing/regulatory procedures.
