EHI Education and Training Programs

The Existential-Humanistic Institute, Inc. (EHI) is headquartered in the Bay Area and is a California Benefit Corporation. Back in 1997 EHI was formed as a program under the auspices of the Pacific Institute, a nonprofit in San Francisco, and as of 2019 has grown to a Benefit Corporation that continues to provide online Existential-Humanistic educational and training programs, as well as Bay-Area trainings, workshops, therapist consult groups, community gatherings and conferences. EHI’s mission is to provide a “home” for those mental health professionals, scholars, and students who seek in-depth training in existential-humanistic and existential-integrative philosophy, practice, and inquiry.

EHI offers courses on the principles of existential-humanistic philosophy and practice, the inner search process, subjectivity and encounter and the responsibility of the therapist. Most of EHI’s instructors have trained extensively with such masters as James Bugental, Irvin Yalom and Rollo May, and are among the most highly trained existential-humanistic practitioners in the United States.

For correspondence related to EHI Educational offerings, Workshops, Cafe’s and the Existential-Humanistic Conference please contact Michelle, the EHI Program Admin via phone or the contact form above.
