EHNW Community Circle: Navigating Fear and Finding Hope in Troubled Times

A free virtual gathering for mental health providers to share about their own struggles and concerns within the community. 

As Existential-Humanistic practitioners, we hear our clients’ fear and despair as we navigate these troubled times in the United States. Through this event, Bob and Kirk seek to facilitate hope and support as we manage our own angst while holding open a safe container for others. ENHW invites you to come together to talk about what you are experiencing, both personally and professionally.

This free Community Circle event is a safe and compassionate place to be heard, to share what’s on one’s heart and mind, and support others in the community doing the same. The facilitators will include a brief somatic focusing to help participants be in touch with their inner world and how they are experiencing current world circumstances.

About the Presenters

Bob Edelstein, LMFT, is an Existential-Humanistic psychotherapist with over fifty years of experience. He provides individual and couples therapy, as well as consultation, supervision, workshops, and trainings for clinicians and students. He has presented an Existential-Humanistic Training group series for over two decades. He has a chapter entitled “Frames, Attitudes, and Skills of an Existential Humanistic Psychotherapist” in The Handbook of Humanistic Psychology, 2nd Edition. He has presented multiple workshops on Existential-Humanistic Psychotherapy, including presenting at both the 2nd and 3rd Existential Psychotherapy World Congresses. He was also a presenter at the Existential Global World Summit. Bob is the founder and past president of the Existential-Humanistic Northwest professional organization, the host of this offering.

Kirk J. Schneider, PhD, is a licensed psychologist and leading spokesperson for contemporary Existential-Humanistic and Existential-Integrative psychology. Dr. Schneider is adjunct faculty at Saybrook University and Teachers College, Columbia University, the president of the Existential-Humanistic Institute (EHI), and a past editor of the Journal of Humanistic Psychology.. Dr. Schneider’s current book in preparation is The Vibrant Center: A New Consciousness for Our Broken Age (due to be published by University Professors Press in May, 2026).
