Almudena Sánchez Mazarro, MS, is a psychologist and a licensed psychotherapist. Co-founder and director of EHI-Europe (European Institute of Existential- Humanistic Psychotherapy), she has been in private practice for more than 15 years in Madrid, Spain. A lifetime student, she has trained extensively in Existential Humanistic therapy and several other humanistic modalities such as Focusing, Emotion Focused Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt and Somatic Experiencing. She has also been trained in systemic, cognitive-behavioral, as well as transgenerational, transpersonal and trauma-informed somatic and body approaches.

With a main focus on therapeutic presence, existential givens and the body, she has been supervising and leading consultation groups for several years and has been teaching at Comillas University and several other universities and institutions worldwide.

A firm believer in the beauty of life, Almudena is committed to spreading the Existential-Humanistic approach – she feels grateful and blessed to have had the chance to be trained at the Existential-Humanistic Institute.
